【摘要】:1ThisInternationalStandarddescribesthecontentofabriefforbuildingdesign.2Itcanbeusedfromthetimewhentheclientfirstconsidersthepossibleneedforabuildingproject.Itshouldbeofvaluewhentheclientandothersareattempting,inconsultationwithanynecessarycon-sultants,todocumenttheirneeds,aims,resourcesandthecontextoftheproject,andanyotherprob-lemsarising,intheformofa"brief".ThisInternationalStandardappliestoallkindsandsizesofdesignproject.Itcanalsoapplywhateverthechosenfunctionorpurposeofthebrief,forexampleinstructing,promotingdiscussion,recording,asabasisforevaluationorinaformalcompetitiontoselectconsultants.Itcanbeusedbyallthosetakingpartinthepreparationofthebrief,forexampleclients,con-sultants,usersandanyotherswhoareauthoritative,informedorlikelytobeaffected.However,ithasparticularrelevancefortheclientwho,asinitiatorandpurchaseroftheworks,willretaintheresponsibilityfortheprojectanditsgeneralmanagement,includingthechoiceofadesigner,thepreparationofthebriefandtheevaluationofanyresponsetoit.
