【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60793describestwomethodsfordeterminingandmeasuringthemodalbandwidthofmulti-modeopticalfibres(seeIEC60793-2-10,IEC60793-2-30andIEC60793-2-40).Thebasebandfrequencyresponseisdirectlymeasuredinthefrequencydomainbydeterminingthefibreresponsetoasinusoidallymodulatedlightsource.Thebasebandresponsecanalsobemeasuredbyobservingthebroadeningofanarrowpulseoflight.Thetwomethodsarethefollowing:MethodA-Opticaltimedomainmeasurementmethod(pulsedistortion)MethodB-FrequencydomainmeasurementmethodEachmethodcanbeperformedusingoneoftwolaunches:anoverfilledlaunch(OFL)conditionorarestrictedmodelaunch(RML)condition.NOTEThesetestmethodsarecommonlyusedinproductionandresearchfacilitiesandarenoteasilyaccomplishedinthefield.
