【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedprimarilyfortheexaminationofwroughtmetals,forged,rolled,machinedpartsorcomponentstoanultrasonicclassmosttypicallyspecifiedinthepurchaseorderorothercontractdocument.1.1Purpose8212;Thispracticeestablishestheminimumrequirementsforultrasonicexaminationofwroughtproducts.Note18212;ThisstandardwasadoptedtoreplaceMIL-STD-2154,30Sept.1982.Thisstandardisintendedtobeusedforthesameapplicationsasthedocumentwhichitreplaced.Usersshouldcarefullyreviewitsrequirementswhenconsideringitsusefornew,ordifferentapplications,orboth.1.2Application8212;Thispracticeisapplicableforexaminationofmaterialssuchas,wroughtmetalsandwroughtmetalproducts.1.2.1WroughtAluminumAlloyProducts8212;ExaminationshallbeinaccordancewithPracticeB594.1.3AcceptanceClass8212;Whenexaminationisperformedinaccordancewiththispractice,engineeringdrawings,specifications,orotherapplicabledocumentsshallindicatetheacceptancecriteria.FiveultrasonicacceptanceclassesaredefinedinTable1.Oneormoreoftheseclassesmaybeusedtoestablishtheacceptancecriteriaoradditionaloralternatecriteriamaybespecified.1.4OrderofPrecedence8212;Contractualrequirementsandauthorizeddirectionfromthecognizantengineeringorganizationmayaddtoormodifytherequirementsofthispractice.Otherwise,intheeventofconflictbetweenthetextofthispracticeandthereferencescitedherein,thetextofthispracticetakesprecedence.Nothinginthispractice,however,supersedesapplicablelawsandregulationsunlessaspecificexemptionhasbeenobtained.1.5MeasurementValues8212;Thevaluesstatedininch-poundsaretoberegardedasstandard.Themetricequivalentsareinbrackets.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
